We are a full-service clinic that provides competent, compassionate veterinary care for your pets. Whether it be your aging golden retriever or your daughter's beloved guinea pig, the staff at the Chippewa Veterinary Clinic understands the powerful connection and companionship of the human-animal bond. Small Animal Services

  • Medical - physical and wellness checks, sick pet care, hospitalization, cancer therapy.
  • Surgical - soft tissue surgery as well as orthopedic surgery. Presurgical exams, bloodwork, gas inhalant anesthesia, pulse oximetry, EKG monitoring, and forced air warming blankets are all used to ensure the comfort and safety of your pet.
  • Digital Radiology - use digital radiology for dental and full body x-rays to offer immediate clear images.
  • Ultrasound - non-invasive technique examines soft tissue abnormalities - certified ultrasonographer is available
  • Fertility Testing and Artificial Insemination
  • Dental Cleaning and Dental Surgery - presurgical exams, bloodwork, gas inhalant anesthesia, pulse oximetry, EKG monitoring, and forced air warming blankets are all used to ensure the comfort and safety of your pet.
  • Implantation & registration of Micro
    Identification Chips
  • On-site laboratory - complete blood counts, comprehensive chemistry panels, clotting times, thyroid, parasite exams, urinalysis, as well as many disease specific tests, are all available to obtain a clear picture of the status of your pets health.
  • Endoscopy - a non-invasive procedure used to look inside small animals to detect problems and aid in diagnosis. This procedure helps us determine the best route of care and treatment for your small animal.

Small Animal Vaccination Schedule

The day you bring your new pet home contact Chippewa Veterinary Clinic to make an appointment. The appointment will include new pet education, a thorough physical exam, and possibly other diagnostic tests to determine the health of your pet. Your puppy or kitten will be started on an individualized series of vaccinations and preventative medicine based on the lifestyle of your pet to protect them from dangerous and deadly diseases to which they may be exposed.

Kennel Cough: (Bordatella) over three weeks and then booster in 3-4 weeks

12 Weeks

Canine Distemper Combination (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvo Virus, Parainfluenza, Corona Virus)
Lymes Disease Vaccination (booster 3-4 weeks later)

16 Weeks
